HODINKEE and Jaeger-LeCoultre Host Event At Sound Maker Exhibition

Last Wednesday evening, Jaeger-LeCoultre and HODINKEE hosted a group of HODINKEE and JLC fans at Jaeger-LeCoultre's Sound Maker exhibition in New York. The event is one of the most astonishing assemblages of complicated watchmaking in many years, bringing together timepieces from over a century. The exhibit includes repeaters, grand strike complications, and of course, Jaeger-LeCoultre's famous Memovox timepieces, which have set the standard for alarm watches since 1951. HODINKEE Editor-in-Chief Jack Forster was present as co-host, along with JLC US president Anne-Laure Ritter and JLC CEO Catherine Rnier. Among the exhibition's highlights were a video explaining, in detail, just how a minute repeater operates, as well as one of the 20th century's masterpieces of complicated watchmaking C a grand complication pocket watch from 1928.
