Breaking News: Apple To Partner With Herms On The Latest Version Of The Apple Watch

Today Apple announced that it will be partnering with French luxury brand Herms in creating a new version of the Apple Watch. The latest version, which will go on sale next month, will use straps hand-made by Herms combined with a special user interface. Image courtesy of www.craveonline.com It is no surprise that Apple has decided to partner with Herms, their leather goods (particularly straps) have been appreciated by watch collectors and manufacturers alike (for example, Parmigiani sells their watches with Herms straps). This is also the first luxury brand that Apple has blessed to make straps for its smart-device. Image courtesy of www.hermes.com The new Apple Watch starts at $1,000. The Apple Watch Herms will feature a polished steel case, a selection of special dials, and three strap styles. The Double Tour ($1,250) available in a 38 mm case with Etain, Capucine, and Bleu Jean Swift leather straps, as well as a Fauve Barenia leather strap. The Single Tour ($1,100) available in a 38 mm and 42 mm case with Fauve Barenia leather and Noir Box leather strap. And the Cuff, which comes in a 42 mm case ($1,500) and is available with a Fauve Barenia leather strap only.The watch will be available on 5th October in select Apple and Herms stores worldwide as well as at select retailers.
