Introducing: The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver In New Colors For 2018

This year we're getting the familiar Royal Oak Offshore Diver in four fun new colors (in addition to the new pink gold and grey ceramic version). It is same watch you've known for years, with a 42mm stainless steel case with the double screw-down crowns and the trusty automatic caliber 3120 inside. There's also the "Mega Tapisserie" dial, rendered here in one of four semi-muted shades. Last year we saw a series of bright colors such as lime green, bright yellow and orange. This year Audemars Piguet has taken a lighter approach with purple, khaki, beige, and turquoise.? Why This Watch Matters The Offshore Diver has always been a fun watch, and last year Audemars Piguet took it to the extreme with bright neon colors. This year they are bringing it back down with the neutrals beige and khaki, while keeping it light with the turquoise and purple too. "Variety is the spice of life" could easily be the manufacture's motto if these watches are anything to go by. Initial Thoughts While the Royal Oak Offshore Diver isn't necessary a watch for me, I love the new colors this year. Seeing as my favorite colors are navy, grey, white, and beige, the Khaki and Beige really sit well with me. My only complaint is the official color names: Topical Turquoise, Beige Means Business, Khaki Has Character, and Day Into Night Purple. Sometimes less is more.?
