Introducing: The Cartier Tank Louis Cartier In Rose Gold With Matching Bracelet

Last year, Cartier celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Tank watch. In honor of this momentous occasion, the maison released a series of renewed Tank watches including a revamped Tank Louis Cartier Tank in two sizes (small and large), two metals (pink and white gold), and with or without diamonds. All are powered by the manual-winding 8971 MC and were well-received. This year the watch is back but this year it has a bracelet. The watch comes in four versions: small and large, with or without diamonds all in pink gold. All four include a gorgeous linked pink gold bracelets. The movement has also changed and is now the manual-winding caliber 1917 MC.? Why This Watch Matters The Tank is one of the most iconic watches ever produced, and last year's anniversary was truly a huge deal for Cartier. The new models were refined and wearable (as a Tank should always be) and the introduction of the Louis Cartier in a smaller size with a manual-winding movement was pretty exciting. It is no surprise that they are expanding the collection to include a bracelet version. This is not the first time the Louis Cartier Tank is featured with a bracelet, but the design is a new one with the links being curved rather than straight.? Initial Thoughts This is a great addition to the collection. As a bracelet gal myself, I welcome a manual-wound pink gold tank on a bracelet anytime. I was a big fan of the Panthre released as last year's SIHH, with its bracelet being one of the best parts. The Louis Cartier is a more traditional shape and will certainly appeal to the Cartier client. Now all I have to do is wait for this to be made in platinum so I can die and go to heaven.?
