Last Thursday, HODINKEE joined Marshall Pierce to celebrate the company's new store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. A veritable Windy City institution, Marshall Pierce & Company traces its roots to 1896, when Charles Bern opened a small watch shop after immigrating from Sweden. Today, almost 120 years later, the store is still run by the Bern family C and with the move to Michigan Avenue, it takes center stage on the Chicago watch scene with an impressive array of brands: Cartier, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Vacheron Constantin, Baume & Mercier, and A.
