Finalists For The 2015 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genve Announced

The finalists for the Grand Prix dHorlogerie de Genve (GPHG) have been announced. Every year HODINKEE covers the awards and this year is no exception. The GPHG was started in 2001 to recognize achievement in fine watchmaking (think the Oscars of watches). This years categories include: mens, womens, sport watches, womens high mechanical watches, chronographs, sonnerie watches, calendar watches, jewelry watches, tourbillon watches, mechanical exception, petite aiguille, and metiers darts.This years finalists (all of which are listed below) include brands such as Audemars Piguet, Piaget, Herms, Blancpain, MB&F, Montblanc, A. Lange & Sohne, Jaquet Droz, and a number of other notable makers. On the jury this year is our very own Benjamin Clymer, along with other major industry leaders and figures like Aurel Bacs from Phillips Watches, Eric Singer (see our Talking Watches video with him here), John Goldberger (see his Talking Watches here), and Philippe Dufour (see inside his atelier here).Additionally, the public prize, decided by the public (aka you), is also now open for voting, and once you register, there you can win a DeWitt Glorious Knight Chronograph worth over $17,000!The winners will be announced on October 29, 2015.
