The first Monday in May started with a literal bang C via a nasty early-morning thunderstorm C and ended with a metaphorical bang by way of the 2022 Met Gala. Celebrities and notable public figures, from the world over, made their way to our concrete metropolis, to flaunt some of the most outrageous fashion choices you're likely ever to see. None of the normal folk get to enter the hallowed halls of the Metropolitan Museum (where the yearly gala is held ), so we're left to drool at the 'fits as celebs walk the red carpet. Think of it like the Oscars, but?only?the red carpet part C and the carpet isn't actually red. Last year (ok, eight months ago) it was beige. This year it's red, white, and blue (so there's some red). The theme for the 2022 affair is "Gilded Glamour," but as you'll see, that notion is left open to interpretation. While the clothing choices are likely to catch the eyes of most, we're looking at wrists only. In fact, we hope some of the attendees pick outfits with shorter sleeves next year.
