It might sound like we're playing a bit of inside baseball here, but if you're in the media world at all, there are certain names you just have to know. Scott Dadich is one of them. He first got his start as creative director of Texas Monthly magazine before moving on to Cond Nast, where he would spend the decade from 2006 to 2016 reinventing Wired and honing the group's digital strategy and direction. Last year he joined now-partner Patrick Godfrey to found Godfrey Dadich Partners, a creative agency based in San Francisco, California, that works with a diverse array of brands ranging from magazines like Wired and National Geographic to the Obama Foundation. It's a change of pace, but Dadich's focus is still on using media to tell impactful stories in ways that motivate people to get up and actually do something. It probably comes as no surprise, but in addition to having a taste for great clothes, classic design, and delicious food, Scott is something of a watch guy. If you haven't already read his essay from the HODINKEE Magazine, Volume 2, about marking milestones in his professional life with vintage Rolex watches, I highly recommend you check it out. The great thing is though, once you get Scott talking, the conversation can go pretty much anywhere and you know it's going to be good.We hope you enjoy Episode 7 of HODINKEE Radio. Check out the show notes below and let us know what you think in the comments. Wrist Check Despite being a serious lover of vintage Rolex watches (specifically sports models like the GMT-Master and the Submariner), Scott is anything but a luddite. The day we recorded, he was rocking an Apple Watch Series 2 C in white ceramic with a matching white silicone Sport Band, of course. Scott's not the only watch guy we know who rotates his Apple Watch in along with his more traditional timekeepers, and he especially loves the utility of it when it comes to health and wellness. These days he's wearing this watch a few times per week.
