Introducing: The Hublot Big Bang Integral
January 13, 2020
That a Hublot Big Bang with an integrated bracelet hadnt existed until this very moment is nothing short of an enigma. In an era when every major manufacturer is scrambling to invest in the R&D, design, and production of a stainless-steel sports watch with an integrated bracelet, Hublot had a lot less work to do, because the perfect platform already existed in their line-up all along: The Big Bang.? It took a little rejigging to make a bracelet work seamlessly with the iconic case, but now its available in three entirely new iterations. What you wont find, however, is a stainless-steel model. Instead the watch comes in titanium, black ceramic, and King Gold. The integrated bracelet is a three-link design that mirrors the general angular, sharp aesthetic the Big Bang is known for. The look comes from not only the case being treated to a healthy dose of beveling and chamfering, but the links as well. The dial and bezel remain the same as the current production Big Bang, with the only slight tweak being the indices C Arabic numerals are no longer present. ? Initial Thoughts Some watches seem like they should have been there all along, and this is certainly one of them. The Big Bang has a very specific flair associated with it, along with a very specific market segment, and I think the design is perfectly accentuated by an integrated bracelet. When anyone familiar with Hublot first sees the watch, the next question might be, Hold on a second, thats new? It feels like it should have been this way all along. The HUB1280 is carried over from the standard Big Bang, and the column wheel is visible through an open-worked dial. The black ceramic version will be limited to 500 pieces, while King Gold and Titanium will be in standard production.?
