Introducing: Seiko Teams Up With Bamford For The Very Vibrant SBSA315 Limited Edition
October 02, 2025
Seiko and Bamford have just released a punchy Seiko 5 Sports model that is sure to become a hit limited edition. Using the same 42.5mm by 13.4mm (with 46mm lug-to-lug) measurements that we've all come to know and love (themselves inspired by the cult-classic SKX007), the new SBSA315 is a lot more than just a dial refresh and offers a number of loveable elements in one sporty Seiko package.? The watch features a blue translucent dial that allows you to see the day and date discs (in English and Japanese) that rotate under the dial. The hands (in silver and orange) and applied hour markers (all of which are filled with LumiBrite) reference the 1980s SKX designs. The unidirectional dive bezel features the first 20 minutes of the scale in orange, and the crown remains at 4 o'clock. The front side features a curved Hardlex crystal, while the display screwback prominently features the Bamford logo.? Inside the case is the automatic Calibre 4R36 with 41 hours of power reserve, with hours, minutes, hack seconds, day, and date. But the real fun comes from the use of lume. The LumiBrite indices and hands aren't the only glow-in-the-dark features. The day disc glows as well, and shows through the dial, but today's day will still stand out a bit brighter, being unobstructed via the cutout window. The nylon NATO strap in black and blue has a bright, luminous orange stripe down the middle as well, which is a fun trick. If you find this Seiko collab as fun as I do, here are the details you need to know. The watch is a limited edition of 2,025 pieces, available only at Seiko Boutiques (starting in November in the United States) for a very reasonable $460. What We Think I swore to myself I didn't need another affordable diver. I've already got a Pelican case with a handful of them that need more wrist time. But this is so freaking cool, and I still have major FOMO from missing out on the Kosuke Kawamura model SRPJ41, which shares many similar design cues and colors.?In fact, nearly everything in terms of case and specs is the same, and it makes sense as they both draw inspiration from the 1970s Seiko Time Sonar models (which were also re-released as Seiko 5 models in 2022). So what if it's variations on a theme? It's a great release either way. I guess it's time for another diver.
