Philippe Dufour, the man who brought us the Simplicity series, is known worldwide for his incredible watchmaking abilities. Longtime Hodinkee readers will also recall that he often wears watches that don't bear his name on the dial. In the past, we've highlighted Dufour sporting everything from a pink gold A. The watch is noteworthy for several reasons, including that Dufour briefly worked with Grald Genta (the man who designed the original Royal Oak) in the past, and that Dufour now produces one of the few watches in existence that are in higher demand than a Royal Oak reference like the 16202.? As with his past watch spottings, it remains rather special to see someone at Dufour's level continue to show an appreciation for watches both outside of his own brand and of a specific connection to modern watch enthusiasm.
