Introducing: The Romain Gauthier Insight Micro-Rotor Lady

The Romain Gauthier Insight Micro-Rotor Lady is the first women's watch produced by the reputable modern manufacturer. You may recognize this watch?C it's basically the same as the Insight Micro-Rotor released last year at Baselworld, but in a different metal and with a different dial treatment. The Insight Micro-Rotor Lady boasts a 39.5mm case in 18k red gold case with a mother-of-pearl dial (you have your choice of white or black). The bi-directional 22k gold micro-rotor has been updated with a sprinkling of diamonds, and there's the same double mainspring barrel. Overall, it's cool to see a watchmaker like Gauthier producing an interesting and attractive ladies' watch. Why This Watch Matters After years of boring quartz ladies' watches with diamonds, brands seem to finally understand that it's worth investing in creating interesting timepieces for female collectors (woo!). The Insight Micro-Rotor was an interesting watch in of itself last year, and was received with positive reviews. This reiteration further proves its strength as one of Romain Gauthier's exemplary watches and joins the ranks of the F.P. Journe with his Elegante and maybe surpasses it as one of the most interesting ladies' watches made by a modern manufacturer.? Initial Thoughts While I am thrilled to see an interesting ladies' watch come across my desk, I am hesitant to shout from the rooftops. When I first saw it, I thought there would be some more substantial updates to the watch C namely a new case size C but instead I discovered that short of the dial, gems, and finishes it's very much the same watch from last year. However, I am seeing a trend with complicated ladies' watches, and feel like my prayers are finally being answered C even if the price is CHF 83,000.?
