Introducing: The H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic 'Frozen'
April 03, 2025
Youre looking at the newest H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Chronographs, a rose gold (on strap) and stainless steel (on steel bracelet) that pairs the brands creative dial work with a powerhouse HMC 907 central-counter automatic chronograph. The Streamliner collection launched in 2020 and has remained one of the most creative takes on the integrated sports watch trend and has evolved to house tourbillons, perpetual calendars, and more. But the chronograph is the complication that feels most Streamliner and this is the strongest release yet. Measuring 42.3mm by 14.2mm thick in both case materials, the new Streamliner chronographs are powered by the automatic Calibre HMC 907 developed with AGENHOR for H. Moser & Cie. movement, that hides the winding rotor under the dial and has 72 hours of power reserve. Theres both the chronograph hand and the central minute counter and the chronograph is a flyback. At the same time, its also housed in a case with 120m of water resistance with a display caseback to view the movement. But lets be honest, the excitement here is the new frozen dials. They still have minute scales and a tachymeter at the edge but the dials are rendered Midnight Blue fum (in rose gold) or Matrix Green fum (in steel) with frosted finish that looks like a three-dimensional over-full constellation. The dials start with hand engraving and then stamping the brass plates, before a tinted lacquer is applied. Moser says that at the right angle, the dials "glisten like snow in the sunlight." The watches run $68,200 in rose gold and $51,700 in steel. What We Think For some time after the launch of the collection in 2020, it seemed like all anyone talked about regarding H. Moser was its irreverent commentary wristwatches and the Streamliner. Well, the brand has built out several great collections, but the Streamliner persists, and I'm glad it does. It's just such a cool take on an integrated bracelet sports watch thats just gotten better. While Moser has experimented with dial techniques and refining the case shape, the coolest adjustment was the addition of the AgenGraphe HMC 907 movement. Until today, when they brought that movement and these cool dial techniques together. Mosers wild dials have become increasingly difficult to render in pictures or understand when looking at someone elses images. Theres a world where the frosting here might be a bit too extreme and distracting C at least more than the brands grand feu time-only Streamliner. But maybe thats not a bad thing; this isnt a subtle watch. Ill see it in person later this week to understand how it all comes together. The Basics Brand: H.
