The annual chronograph is a fascinating series of complications. The Marine Torpilleur Annual Chronograph can tell time from the month and date right down to 1/10 of a second. With a design that doesn't deviate drastically from a standard chronograph, a large amount of information can be gleaned. It's no wonder that the annual calendar was one of Ulysse Nardin's earliest hits; because of its ability to time down to 1/10 of a second, it served as a timekeeper at the 1936 Olympics held in Berlin. This new model is an improvement on the 1996 design by Ludwig Oechslin of Ochs & Junior that resulted in the UN-150 movement. Every aspect of the annual calendar data is easily adjusted using the crown, making it easy for the wearer.? What We Think Like other watches in the Torpilleur series, the watch is executed in both blue- and white-dialed versions. Roman numerals lend an air of elegance to the overall aesthetic; it would have very much been considered a tool watch in the '30s.
