Introducing: The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time With A Black Dial

Just barely in time for the gift-giving season, Vacheron Constantin has announced a new dial color for their sporty-yet-elegant Overseas Dual Time. The black sunburst satin-finished dial is an addition to the current dial offerings of silver and blue. This new dial is likely something that interested parties have been requesting from Vacheron Constantin ever since the Overseas Dual Time launched in November of 2017. With a steel case, and the model's trio of included tool-less interchangeable strap options (steel, alligator, and rubber), it's hard to argue with the wide appeal of a black dial and red highlights.? Initial Thoughts Specs and functionality remain the same as we've seen in the past C 41mm, 150 meters water-resistant, and the brand's 5110 DT automatic movement. And, while I am usually partial to a blue dial (and I featured the silver dial version of this very watch in a HODINKEE Magazine piece on great travel watches), the black dial looks right at home surrounded by all of that steel, giving this version of the Overseas Dual Time a more muted and sporty appeal. Furthermore, Vacheron does a great job with their black dials (which can sometimes be the most boring option in a steel watch) and I'm sure this version will be a very popular option for anyone looking for a high-end travel watch that makes it easy to track a second time zone while waiting for Group 1 to begin boarding.?
