Introducing the new Uncrate Bell & Ross Batman Collab Watch

If Batman designed a watch, how would it look? According to Uncrate and Bell & Ross, it'd be something like this new BR 03-92. Flying in under the cover of darkness (or close enough to it C there wasn't even a press release), the watch was just announced as a part of the new Wayne Enterprises x Uncrate capsule collection. The collection, featuring clothing, eyewear, and even training equipment to get yourself into a superhero-level of fitness, took about 18 months of collaboration between DC Comics/Warner Bros. and Uncrate, resulting in a new take on Bruce Wayne's imagined personal design ethos. The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 for Wayne Enterprises The avionics-inspired background of the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 lends a tactical look and, short of being able to include a batplane in their collection, Uncrate saw the watch as ideal for the collection's flagship. Even more, the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 for Wayne Enterprises is a rare skeletonized reference of the company's iconic square case and with either the padded leather or the included military nylon velcro straps, can be dressed up or down. You can see the calibre?BR-CAL.321?mechanical automatic movement through the skeleton dial and copper-brown flange. All that rests in a 42mm satin-polished steel case with black painted numerals, a semi-matte black painted minute track, and indices filled with Super-LumiNova on the flange to match the skeletonized hour and minute hands. Only 100 potential Bruce Wayne acolytes will be able to get their own serial-numbered Bell & Ross x Wayne Enterprises watch, and shipments be leaving the batcave (or the warehouse) and sent to customers beginning mid-October, 2022. The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 for Wayne Enterprises What We Think It seems to be a frequent comment on stories about Bell & Ross that a lot of people in the more internet-active watch community come close to buying one of these aviation-inspired watches and never follow through. This, however, might just be the kind of watch that pushes people over the edge and into dropping some cash. Putting aside the theoretical idea that Batman himself might have designed and worn a watch like this in the "Uncrate Comic Book Universe" as I'm calling it, this is just an all-around great-looking piece and not too obvious, either. While most people might just black out the case, black out the dial, and throw in a bit of blue to give off sufficient "Batman" vibes, Uncrate seems to have gone a smarter and more subtle route. This isn't Batman, it's Bruce Wayne who, to the completely utterly oblivious population of Gotham, has nothing to do with the Dark Knight. So why would his watch look like something Batman would wear? The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 for Wayne Enterprises Sure, the Bell & Ross logo obscures the skeletonized movement a bit but that's okay. You're getting a $4,800 skeletonized watch and the finishing won't be anywhere close to what you'd get on a $100,000 skeletonized watch, so a bit of movement obfuscation is excusable. But unlike a lot of other skeleton watches, I think this looks incredibly legible because of the really eye-catching copper-brown (to my eye, salmon) flange. Not that you're going take a watch that's shaped like a piece of aviation equipment and wear it to a black-tie gala, though you could if you were rich and handsome like Bruce Wayne. After all, this is more versatile than most of the brand's offerings.? Really, I'd expect most people would pick this up and wear it on the black velcro tactical strap. Slap on a leather jacket or the Rogue Territory jacket in the capsule collection and call it a day. You might not be Bruce Wayne, Batman, or even Robin, but you wouldn't be blamed for feeling like them.
