Year In Review: The Top 10 HODINKEE Videos Of 2019

Happy Holidays, watch fam! As another year draws to a close, its inevitably time to look back at the calendar and take stock of all that was accomplished in 2019. If youve kept a keen eye on the homepage, Im sure youve noticed it was a big year for the 'dink. As our editorial ranks have grown, so too has the ambition and scope of our coverage. Im incredibly proud of the work done by my colleagues, be they writers, photographers, podcasters, designers, etc. It was a banner year by all.But Im here today to highlight the work done by a truly remarkable group of specialists C some might say the most special. The abundance of their talent is only surpassed by the tirelessness of their work ethic. These artisans of the moving picture painstakingly craft narrative frame by frame C twenty-four of them (sometimes even sixty!) per second. Such bravery. I am of course speaking of Team Video. Do I say all this because Im a member of this team? Perhaps. Will any of this make it past Stephens copy edit? Probably not.?But, the truth remains that we had a pretty awesome year here on Team Video. We ran it back with the grandaddy of 'em all: Talking Watches 2 With John Mayer. We did the deepest of dives into the Rolex Submariner. (Bad pun.) Time flew by as we took to the skies with IWC. (Worse pun.) And in one of the greatest stories to ever come out of this shop, we relearned how a simple watch can rise above the sum of its parts to become something much more special.?It was a privilege to serve your eyeballs this year and we look forward to only bigger and better things in the year to come.
