Last year, at SIHH 2019, Vacheron Constantin announced both a new blue dial and a solid gold bracelet for their lovely Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin. Trouble is, the two weren't offered together. The blue dial was only available with the quick change combo of the rubber strap and the leather, while the bracelet was only optional with the silver opaline dial version. I should know C I wrote that post too (and am impressed by the continuity match of the outfits in both wrist shots). Well, for Watches and Wonders 2020, VC has righted this wrong. You can have your blue and gold it too.? Initial Thoughts This reference, the 4300V/120R-B509 (vs. the bracelet-less 4300V/000R-B509) is delivered not only with the lovely pink gold bracelet, but also the blue rubber strap and the blue alligator strap, all of which feature a quick-change mechanism so you can swap between the three without stress or tools. Pink gold and blue lacquer is a match made in watch heaven, and I'd wager you agree that the combo looks great.? The blue maintains a youthful feel that is nicely matched by the more sporty feel of the bracelet. And let's face it, if you're going in for an ultra-thin QP from Vacheron Constantin, you might as well check all of the boxes.
