Introducing: The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin (New Models)

Following last year's addition of rose gold to the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin line up, Vacheron has again expanded their sporty QP family with two new options: a new rose gold model rocking a striking blue dial and a new version of the silver dial rose gold model from SIHH 2018 with a full gold bracelet added to the mix.?The new blue dial is a strong match for both the rose gold case and the sporty vibe of the Overseas design and its strap-enhanced style. Likewise, with a watch that can so easily swap straps (no tools or talent required), the addition of a proper gold bracelet seems a no-brainer.? Initial Thoughts While this is essentially just a new dial and a new bracelet, both have a decidedly large impact on the look and feel of the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin. The blue is a bit more casual, with a youthful charm that looks to pair nicely with the available blue rubber strap. It's hard to go wrong with blue and gold, and the dial's translucent lacquered construction makes for an eye-catching shimmer of color, especially at the glass-like edges of the moonphase aperture.? As for the full rose gold bracelet option, I couldn't be more on board. I love a gold watch with a matching integrated bracelet as the considerable weight (versus a steel bracelet or even a strap) is balanced by what should be an ideal fit and wrist position. As much as I've enjoyed various Overseas models on the rubber strap, this classic yet sporty combo of full gold over that glassy silver dial looks just right for a modern QP.?
