After a few weeks off, we're back with the ever popular HODINKEE Weekly Round-Up, and to make up for the missing posts from last week, we've gone a little crazy. ?In fact, we've gone downright nuts. ?Instead of looking all over the web for great vintage buys, we've focused on what is easily one of the best sources of vintage watches out there - yup, eBay. ?In this lengthy What's Selling Where Round-Up, we show you ten (yes, ten!) great vintage watches for sale on eBay worth considering - including an original Monaco, an Ed White Speedmaster, an original PloProf, a classic Datejust, a few chronos from LeCoultre and UG, and a killer Heuer Monza. ?Enjoy! 1960s LeCoultre Chronograph This early Le-Coultre chronograph is just gorgeous.? A 35mm case anda gracefully aging dial will set you apart in a crowd of oversized sportchronographs dominating the day. Just a few scratches mar the case, whichmakes it all the more wearable if you ask us. The 18K gold fluted bezel sets off the original creamy dial inall the right ways. This Rolex is wrist-ready with an automatic movement and ablack leather strap, No effort is required to slip this guy under your cuff.Make an offer on the original listing here. 1960s Omega Constellation Pie Pan The Omega Constellation has become an icon of 60s dress watches. The35mm case holds the venerable cal. 551 which boasts automatic winding andofficially certified chronometer status. The dial is original but the caselooks to have seen some polishing. Still a great pick-up if your offer isright. Original listing here. Pre-Moon Omega Speedmaster Straight Lug The Omega Speedmaster is the hand-wound chronograph, period. If you happen to be into the whole moon thing, a caliber 321 is the onlywatch for you. This example does one better: its a 321 with straight lugs andpre-moon dial, a perfect Ed White model in respect to NASAs first spacewalkwhich used this very reference. Getyour bid in right here. 1970s Heuer Monaco Its one thing to find a Monaco 1133G in good condition; itsanother thing entirely to find a one-owner example complete with box andpapers. It looks like the watch could use a service, but the unpolished caseand incredible dial along with box and papers make this a watch that deservesyour attention. Place your bid here. 1970s Seiko Bullhead Chrono This reference 6138 Seiko Chronograph is lovingly referred to as theBullhead thanks to the location of the pushers and crown at the top of thecase. These are getting harder to find with original dials and bezels, but thisone fits the bill. Some light scratches make this a great everyday-wear option.Wont break the bank either! Get your bid in right here. 1970s Omega PloProf The Omega Seamaster 600 PloProf was designed by famous oceanographer Jacques Cousteau, and was wornby him on early 70s?explorations. The unusualcase shape and protruding helium release valve have made this diver an icon inthe genre. This is a great example with original 1st gen dial andclean case. Submit your offer right here. 1970s Zenith El Primero For the automatic chronograph junkie, there is simply no substitutefor the Zenith El Primero. One of the first 3 automatic chronographs to come tomarket in 1969, the El Primero was by far the most sophisticated, and remainsso to this day. This ref 5303 dates to the mid 70s?and would make a great addition to any collection. Bid here. Universal Geneve Compax Chronograph We've long sung the praises of Universal Geneve's chronographs - they have absolutely fantastic movements, world-class pedigree, and superb design.? On top of that, they're out of business so they're actually affordable! This manually wound Compax is a prime example of a 1940s UG chrono, and while it looks like the dial has been a little refreshed, it's currently CHEAP, and if you get it for anythingn close to this price, you're doing really well.? Take a look here. 1970s Heuer Monza PVD The Heuer Monza was one of the very first PVD watches to hit the market, and this super clean example is currently sitting on eBay for just $875 with less than three days left.? Condition on dial and hands looks superb, and the original PVD finish is strong, which is a rare find on these early black watches.? Bid here.?
