Hands-On: With The Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Chronograph Cermet (Live Pics, Official Pricing)
We showed you the announcement on Monday, and now we're back after going hands-on with the the brand new Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Chronograph Cermet.? The Cermet is a larger 44mm watch, with a black aluminum and ceramic case (making Cermet), coated with a 40 micron layer of Ceramic to prevent scratching.? There will be two versions - one with normal white lume, and another that is "vintage-inspired" to be sold exclusively at JLC boutiques.? Price for both is 10,000 euro.? There isn't anything exceptionally new about this watch that we saw at SIHH yesterday, but I still absolutely love it.? It's the first time Vacheron has made its beautiful Patrimony Traditionnelle 38mm in a platinum case, and to boot this one features a stunning slate grey dial.?Inside is the same gorgeous in-house manually wound caliber 4400 found in the other patrimony watches, but with a heavy platinum case and grey dial, the watch has a totally new feel.? Christie's Auctions Gold Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Piece Unique To Celebrate 50 Years Of Goldfinger
Last week, Christies held an online auction to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Goldfinger, the third Bond film, which first hit theaters in 1964. With all proceeds going to the NSPCC, online bidders spared no expense in snatching up iconic James Bond memorabilia. Omega provided a contribution of their own to the auction, a piece unique Seamaster Aqua Terra covered in 18k gold. Pre-auction estimates on the watch were 12,000-18,000 CHF.
